local Area and Attractions
Not far from major roads you can visit many local attractions around Kent. On the Island itself you have Minster Abbey 2nd oldest Church in England, The Heritage Museum, the Aviation Memorial at Eastchurch, Queenborough Harbour and the site of the old castle if you like nature there is the Emley Nature Reserve as well. Take a trip to London to visit the London Dungeons, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey the choice is enlist. Tour round Kent or even to France for the Day.
From M20 - Junction 7 A249 Sheerness. Follow the A249 on to the Island. At Roundabout turn right for Eastchurch and Leysdown. At the traffic lights turn left into Barton Hill Drive. Follow the brown Abbey signs passed the hospital to end of road. Turn right into Minster Road over the mini roundabout Carry on through Minster village one way system pass The British Queen pub on the right. Plough Road is the 2nd turning on the left with a phone box on the corner. Ashcroft is ½ mile on the left hand side.
