The new Severn Crossing

A view of the second Severn Crossing which carries the M4 motorway from Caldicot in south Wales to Severn Beach in south Gloucestershire. Opened in 1996 to supplement, and eventually succeed the original Severn Bridge which is about 3 miles upstream, the new crossing is 5.1km long.
